Restaurante Libanês Beyrouth

A M. tem ascendência Arménia mas nasceu no Líbano, fala as 2 línguas, lê e escreve árabe.
Fomos finalmente experimentar um dos restaurantes Libaneses, o Beyrouth.
Ela tratou dos pedidos com o sr e achei engraçado ele apontar no papel, escrevendo do lado direito para o esquerdo, em árabe, pareciam ondulados simples e era impossível entender qualquer linha ou palavra.
Descrições pormenorizadas da M.:

 - Hummus: In Lebanese pronounced as Hommos. Chickpeas paste mixed with tahini (sesame paste), lemon, garlic, olive oil
- Baba Ganouj: In Lebanese it is called moutabbal: Grilled eggplant paste with tahini, lemon, garlic, olive oil
- Pita bread: In Lebanese called Khebez Arabi
- Cheese salad: feta cheese, parsley, tomato, onions

- Fasoulia: White beans with parsley, garlic, lemon, olive oil
- Loubieh bzeit: Green beans with coriander, tomatoes, onions, garlic, olive oil
- Tabbouleh: A salad made of parsley, couscous, tomatoes, onions, sumac, lemon, olive oil

- Arnabit me’li: Fried cauliflower in lemon and olive oil with tahini sauce
- Kebbeh Mehshi: Fried meat mixed with couscous (outer shell), filled with fried minced meat, pinenuts and onions.
- Sambousek bi Lahmeh: Puff pastry filled with minced meat and onions
- Sambousik bi Jebneh: Puff pastry filled with cheease and parsley

- Mashewi mshakkaleh: Mixed grill platter with rice (skewers of minced lamb meat (shish kafta), chicken breast (shish tawouk) and lambchops (shish kebab))
- Bemyeh brez: Occra with rice, cooked with lamb meat, tomatoes and onions
- Siyadiyeh: Grilled (in this case it was fried) fish cooked with rice and almonds, sprinkled with fried onions accompanied by Tahini sauce
- Falafel: Deep fried chickpeas with tahini sauce

- Baklava sweets: In Lebanese this is pronounced as Ba’ lewa. Puff pastries filled with pistachios and pine nuts.

Os arrozes eram todos diferentes e muito bons, quem me dera conseguir fazer assim! Que maravilhas culinárias, faz sempre diferença ir com quem sabe escolher!
